What it’s made of
Honest materials, made to last.
Three materials do most of the work at Halden. We choose them because they age well, can be repaired, and get better with use.
Solid white oak
FSC-certified, oiled rather than lacquered. Scratches sand out, and the grain deepens to honey over the years.
Wool-linen bouclé
A nubby, hard-wearing weave that stays cool in KL’s heat. The covers zip off for cleaning.
Raw stoneware
Hand-built by a two-person studio in Ipoh and fired once, so every piece is a little different.
